How I Coach

There's a time to teach and there's a time to coach. It's important to me that both happen during a lesson. Golf is hard, like really hard. Sometimes it takes a wing man to motivate you during a lesson to gain ground. Making changes to your swing, even (and maybe especially) for good players, can be frustrating. That's where a good coach can turn a tough lesson into a great practice.

How I Teach

I don't know about you but I remember all of the great teachers I've ever had. Great teachers blend in with their subject. Watching a great teacher teach is one of my favorite things in life. All of my methods and swing theories I learned from some of my favorite teachers like Harvey Penick and Butch Harmon. Both of which emphasized how you communicate is just as important as what you communicate.
